Gene began work as discipline counsel for the State Bar of Georgia in 1995. Gene’s practice with the State Bar involved working to enforce the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct. After eleven years with the State Bar, Gene went back to private practice and worked with an insurance defense firm on matters involving primarily property and casualty claims. In 2008, Gene launched his own firm to focus on professional licensing matters and professional certification. Gene’s experience pays dividends for clients facing complaints with their professional licenses, whether it is a grievance, agency investigation, peer review board, or other instance involving professional certification. He also assists clients applying for professional licensure and the process of certification when the client is seeking renewal or reinstatement of a professional license.
Several years ago, Gene expanded his practice to become a neutral in mediation and arbitration proceedings. He is a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and serves as a mediator and arbitrator. Gene neutral practice includes disputes involving personal injury, family law, churches, and other faith-based institutions.
