Shea assists residential and commercial developers, builders and individuals in zoning, permitting and variance proceedings before local counties and municipalities in metro Atlanta. She takes pride in her ability to resolve conflict and find creative solutions that allow builders and neighborhoods to work together to improve property values and promote responsible development in Atlanta. Additionally, Shea has handled litigation cases involving zoning, land use and real estate issues.
Shea also has extensive experience in domestic relations, handling divorce, child custody, and modification matters. She utilizes her real estate experience to protect her divorcing clients’ most valuable asset – their home. Divorce is such an emotional time for everyone. Shea prides herself on being empathetic, but efficient. She believes all parents should put the interests of their children first. Shea guides her clients to resolve their cases amicably whenever possible so financial resources are reserved for the family instead of its attorneys. She is collaboratively trained and offers those services to her clients as well.
Shea has had her own private practice since 2002. She joined forces with her husband, Brian E. Daughdrill, in 2006, and is now one of the founding members of GSRD Law.
When away from work, Shea spends time with her family and friends both in Atlanta and at their lake house.
Shea graduated in 1992 from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo with a degree in journalism and public relations. She obtained her law degree from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law in 1996.
Shea is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association. She also is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Georgia.
